Ministry Logo. Salon

Among a page and one from the internet, I found the blog of Masaki Santo a design laboratory in the city of Cuenca and discovered that one of the heads that are in that boat was my teacher ideas. With some abuse of confidence, I will allow me to reproduce a text of his property below.
From here the studio lot and greetings to Juan Carlos.

A logo According to Wikipedia, "is a graphic, visual or auditory-verb and serves a person, company, institution or product to represent. The logos and symbols often enclose evidence about who they represent ... The functionality of a logo is its capacity to communicate the message that is required such as "We are a responsible company " or " this product is high quality " and to achieve this requires the use of colors and shapes that help the viewer This final interpretation will ...", also suitable handling and positioning.

A logo requires the appropriate use of semiotics as a tool that helps proper communication and interpretation of the message by the viewer, So when you represent an entity or group of people, it is more appropriate to maintain consistency between what is meant and what he really intends to represent.
Starting
of this rule, we decided to take a tour of the logos that represent the Ecuadorian government ministries (some new and one created from the return to democracy) and we can not but stop to reflect as designers (and citizens) on their efectividad.Al use and apparently is a phenomenon of Ecuadorean politics, believing that managing outgoing ruler (and thus the image that represents it) is bad and to amend the same, you have to do a renovation that can range from staff who worked on the outgoing administration to the logo that represented.

The latter represents an investment not only in design (which surely vary professional depending on the contract) but implies a value ranging from physically implement this new image (stationery, signage, uniforms, etc..) to the tangible and intangible value in the market position it.

This phenomenon, exemplified above, also describes the lack of professionalism when deciding what and how to communicate the values \u200b\u200bthat represent the ministries want. Surely they inevitably doomed pantheon of logos.
