After this, the United Lanús had a bad economic state due to lack of members and, obviously, capital for office or for the salary of its players.

decieron was then go for the "help" of a social club that was in the same game at South Barracks (now Lanús), the Club El Progreso.

Club El Progreso not play football, he was just a club "social" I had no court or players or anything you need to have a football team, but was in a better economic situation that the then "broken" Lanús United.

and was a summer afternoon, more specifically the afternoon of January 3, 1915, decided to meet in the halls of the headquarters of Club El Progreso, located across the street Ayohuma 80 (current July 9) and then decide your marriage and lead to our current and beloved Club Atlético Lanus.

As for the United Lanus stadium, no need to say it was used by the CA Lanús until February 24, 1929 when they decided to move it (but that's another story.)

Players also were "transferred" to the newly formed institution.

Finally, in March of 1915, Club Atlético Lanús started playing in the Junior Division of the FAF, since this institution took it as a renaming of the Lanús United.
