The clubhouse is located in the neighborhood of Almagro, on Avenida Medrano 522 and their stadium is located in the town of José Ingenieros, party Tres de Febrero, Buenos Aires, Marcelo T. de Alvear 2223. History

On 6 January Almagro was founded 1911 by a group of boys, following the merger of the teams Jubile, San Martín and Lezica Juniors, named in homage to the neighborhood to which they belonged. After several poor seasons in independent leagues the team suspended its activities in the middle of that year. In 1912 he began to play games and, due to good results, it was decided to found the Almagro Football Club a year later, he used t-shirts with white and green vertical stripes.

In 1914, he was the first court of its own in the Passage de Almagro Portugal, where the neighbors began to sympathize for the team. The sports field lasted until 1916, when the best Almagro Football Club players went to the Liberal team Argentino de Villa Crespo (who ended up winning the Intermediate category) and, thus, again the club suspended its activities.

But the October 16, 1916 was finally constituted the Club Almagro, on the remains of the previous layer entity. Among the founders of the new club were Ortiz de Zarate (radical MP) and players characterized the neighborhood of Almagro. Militancy in the radicalism of its leaders and members was incorporated into the life of the institution as a feature. Also, were adopted at this time the colors blue, black and white and thus adopts the nickname tricolor.

In 1917, joined the Argentina Football Association and began to play the tournament in the second division of Ascent. That same year he built the first pitch of the new entity in Villa Lynch, San Martin, and gained promotion to Intermediate.

After losing the final for promotion to first division in Eureka, Ortiz de Zarate made a fusion of club with the Columbian team, which at that time was in the top flight and suffered an economic crisis. At first, the Argentina Association denied the request because it involved the covert de Almagro, the Intermediate to the First. But then gave permission and the First Division club debuted in the name de Sportivo Almagro.

Almagro, gloria de los guapos, lugar of romances and poetry, the snow covered my head, my joy is gone like a sunbeam. Weather ungrateful

turned my back and my smile gave him cold ... I am already old, I am a burden, with many doubts and loneliness. Almagro mine is all over, are the ashes of what was ... Spiritual lover in your love without end, where I was born I die. Almagro, sweet home, I left my heart as a reminder of my passion. Official Site
